Dachshunds do not like small children, and are impossible to house train
Actually, you can train any dog. I have a dachshund and I trained her myself. AND I have a toddler and the two of them are best friends! Yes, dachshunds are a stubborn breed and are not meant for beginner dog handlers. That's why you need to find a dog that's right for you. Don't let one experience get you so bitter. Remember when you train a dog, it's the human that needs the training as well.
